KELLY TOWNSHIP - A Milton woman was killed Sunday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of U.S. Route 15 and Col. John Kelly Road in this Union County township.
State police at Milton report Hazel E. Hock, 83, of Milton, was pronounced dead at the scene by a member of the Union County Coroner's office following the accident at 12:55 p.m. Sunday. The other driver involved, a 17-year-old male from Milton, was transported to Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, for treatment of his injuries.
Police said Hock, operating a 1988 Mercury Mystique, was attempting to make a left turn from Col. John Kelly Road onto U.S. Route 15 north when she drove into the path of the 1993 Honda Civic coupe, driven by the 17-year-old.
U.S. Route 15 was closed for approximately six hours while police investigated the crash. Assisting police at the scene were members of the William Cameron Fire Department and EMS, Milton EMS, Evangelical Community Hospital Paramedics, White Deer Fire Police and PennDOT.
