5 nabbed in fracas

SUNBURY - Two people were injured and five arrested following a disturbance at the Beck Apartments building, 40 S. 11th St., at 1:20 a.m. Monday.

Sunbury City Police were dispatched to the area for an incident involving 10 people and some weapons, police said.

A juvenile was treated and released at Sunbury Community Hospital, and an adult, who was transported to Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, was treated for more serious injuries.

Police did not release their names.

Police also arrested four adults and a juvenile in the incident, committing them to detention facilities. Officers did not name the people of interest taken into custody or their charges.

Police have outstanding warrants against two additional suspects.

Police say the investigation is ongoing and there is not any immediate danger to the public. Any witnesses with additional information are asked to contacted Sunbury Police Officer Gary Heckman at 286-4584, extension 135.

Criminal mischief

RIVERSIDE - State police at Stonington report that sometime between 7 a.m. Friday and 7 a.m. Monday someone damaged a metal lock on a tool box and the right rear of a Dodge Ram at the homes of Glenn Hinkle, 49, and Ralph Hinkle, 88, both of Avenue C, and fled the scene undetected.

Anyone with information is asked to contact state police at 286-5601.

TV stolen

LOWER MAHANOY TOWNSHIP - Cynthia Header, of 435 Comfort Road, Sunbury, reported to state police at Stonington that sometime between 6 p.m. Sunday and 10:30 a.m. Monday someone entered her residence at 2017 Mountain Road, Lower Mahanoy Township, and removed a 40-inch Hitachi flat screen TV, valued at $500.
