Served minor
MOUNT CARMEL - The Fraternal Order of Eagles 464, 145-147 S. Oak St., was fined by the state Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement District Office in Williamsport for allegedly providing alcohol to a minor.
Sgt. Jeffrey L. MacGinness said the charges will be brought before an administrative law judge (ALJ) who has the authority to impose penalties ranging from $50 to $1,000 for minor offenses and up to $5,000 for serious offenses.
In addition, the ALJ can impose a license suspension or revocation based on the severity of the charge and can mandate training for the licensee.
Criminal mischief
SHAMOKIN - Peter Pereira, 20, of 18 S. Market St., Apt. 4, was cited by Shamokin City Police Patrolman Scott Weaver for criminal mischief and disorderly conduct after allegedly kicking a car door, causing damage, in the area of 209 S. Franklin St. at 4:20 p.m. Tuesday.
Alycia D. McDonald, 19, of 213 S. Franklin St., was also cited for disorderly conduct for not providing information to police about the incident.
Public drunkenness
MOUNT CARMEL - Michael Hughes, 33, of 300 S. Maple St., Mount Carmel, was cited for public drunkenness related to an incident at 5:55 a.m. Thursday in the 100 block of West Sixth Street, according to the Mount Carmel Police Department.
Patrolman Kevin Katch said a caller told police a man, later identified as Hughes, was asleep in a vehicle with the driver's side door open. The caller said she was unable to wake Hughes.
His legs were sticking out of the vehicle, and a large puddle of vomit was on the ground by the door, police said.
When EMS responded and woke him, Hughes allegedly had a strong odor of alcohol and vomit. Hughes allegedly stated that hated living in Mount Carmel, police said.
When asked where he thought he was, Hughes said he thought he was Ranshaw, police said.
Harassment
SHAMOKIN - Kendall L. Dennison, 21, of 358 Market St., Sunbury, was cited for harassment after striking Corrine Gonzalez, 29, of Shamokin, during an altercation in the area of Eighth and Independence streets at 6:05 p.m. Tuesday. The citation was filed by city police Patrolman Scott Weaver.
Disorderly conduct
MOUNT CARMEL - Jonathan Mazak, 31, of 29 S. Spruce St., Mount Carmel, and Pamela Demko, 34, of 32 S. Spruce St., Mount Carmel, were cited for disorderly conduct by Mount Carmel Patrolman Shane Reamer.
Police said Mazak and Demko were allegedly standing on their porches and yelling across the street at each other at 8:37 p.m. Friday, Aug. 23.
Harassment
MOUNT CARMEL - Tiffany Rutledge, 19, and Heather Rutledge, 22, both of 143 S. Locust St., Mount Carmel, were cited for harassment and disorderly conduct by Mount Carmel Patrolman Shane Reamer in relation to a physical altercation at their residence at 1:30 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 25.
Police said the women allegedly argued and punched each other while on their front porch. Heather Rutledge allegedly kicked Tiffany Rutledge in the groin twice.
Harassment
MOUNT CARMEL - Julie Smith, 31, of 325 S. Oak St., Mount Carmel, and Jeremy Strausser, 35, of 19 N. Carbon St., Shamokin, were cited for harassment and disorderly conduct by Mount Carmel Patrolman Shane Reamer in relation to a physical altercation that occurred at 335 W. Fourth St. at 4:02 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 25.
Police said Strausser allegedly threw a cup that hit Megan Godin, of 301 S. Locust St., Mount Carmel, in the face, and Smith grabbed Godin by the hair and threw her on a table.
Bad check
MOUNT CARMEL - Jami Sokolowski, 28, of Roxanna Drive, Erie, was cited by Mount Carmel Patrolman Kevin Katch for issuing a bad check in the amount of $66 to Little Friends Daycare in July.
Loud music
MOUNT CARMEL - Andrew Leslie Hartzell was cited for disorderly conduct by Mount Carmel Patrolman Matthew Dillman in relation to an incident at his apartment at 5:50 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 15.
Police said Dillman was allegedly playing loud music for nearly eight hours, and the music could be heard a block away.
Simple assault
MOUNT CARMEL - Patrolman Kevin Katch has charged Daniel K. Luke, 30, of 332 S. Hickory St., Mount Carmel, with simple assault, disorderly conduct and harassment involving an Aug. 28 disturbance at his residence.
According to a criminal complaint filed at the office of Magisterial District Judge Hugh Jones, Luke is accused of putting his arm around the neck of his fiance, Jayme Hough, pinning her against a basement door and biting her forehead. He also allegedly punched Hough in the face and head-butted her.
Public drunkenness
MOUNT CARMEL - Ronald M. Morgenstern Jr., 43, of 332 E. Center St., Mount Carmel, was charged by Cpl. David Donkochik with public drunkenness and loitering and prowling at night in connection with an Aug. 10 incident at 529 W. Fifth St.
Harassment
SHAMOKIN - Janelle M. Sassani, 27, of 927 W. Montgomery St., Coal Township, was charged by Cpl. Jarrod Scandle with harassment and disorderly conduct involving incidents on April 25 and May 16.
Police reported Sassani drove by Water and Second streets on April 25 and shouted obscenities at Tammy Foulds, of 412 W. Chestnut St., Shamokin. Police said Sassani also is accused of driving by Foulds' house and yelling obscenities at Foulds on May 16.
Retail theft
COAL TOWNSHIP - Charges of retail theft and defiant trespass were filed by Patrolman Matthew Hashuga against Amy K. Beury, 39, of 427 W. Shamokin St., Trevorton.
Police said Beury stole $29.88 worth of merchandise from Walmart Supercenter along Route 61 on Aug. 21.
